So lets start this blog with the main characters of DH.  I dont want to overwhelm you all because there is alot to this show.  I will do my next post about the beginning and how the show came about and then move on from there.

In Season One there were 13 main characters.  The 4 leading ladies are Terri Hatcher who plays Susan Nayer.  She is a divorced mom with a daughter.  Susan is also a chidren’s book illustator.  Felicity Huffman plays Lynette Scavo who seems to have the perfect marriage.  She was a former businesswoman who decided to give that all up to raise her four kids.  Marcia Cross plays Bree Van de Kamp.  She strives to be the perfect mother who has to do everything with perfection.  And Eva Longoria Parker plays the sultry Gabrielle Solis.  She is an ex married model who has an affair with her 17-year old gardener.  Oh it gets ALOT better…lol.

Other character include Nicollette Sheridan who plays Edi Britt who does not get along with Susan from the minute they laid eyes on each other.  Edie has a reputation of being the slut on the block. Steven Culp plays Bree’s husband Rex.  He has some pretty strange sexual desires and Bree is more econservative which causes issues in the marriage.  Gabrielle’s spouse is the hot Carols.  He sees Gabrielle as a trophy wife becasue she is beautiful and sexy.  And then there is the sexy plummer next door Mike Delfino who is played by the talented James Denton who becomes Susan’s love interest.

Brenda Strong does the voice of the show’s narrator Mary Alice Young.  She committed suicide in the first episode of Season One.  Mary’s widow, Paul Young, is played by Mark Moses and her son, Zach is played by Cody Kasch.  Zach is a very troubled teen and we later find out he is actualy the son of Mike the plummer.  More on that later.  Andrea Bowen plays Julie, Susan’s daughter and last but not least is the gardener Jesse Metcalfe who plays John Rowland.

Season 2 has most of the regulars except Rex dies from a heart attach and John leaves the show, ending his romance with Gabrielle.  Doug Savant came on as a regular playing Lynette;s hubby Tom.  Shawn Pyfrom plays Bree’s gay son and her daughter Danielle is played by Joy Lauren.  Here comes a confusing part:  Alfre Woodard and Mehcad Brooks play Betty Applewhite and her son Matthew.  They move to Wisteria lane in the middle of the night to hid the fact that Betty’s other son Caleb, who was played first by Page Kennedy and then NaShawn Kearse, was locked in the basement.  Again, more later.  Susan’s ex-husband Karl played by Richard Burgi was also cast this season.  He eventually got engaged to Edie.  Rogert Bart played pharmacist George Williams who was obsessed with Bree and it ends up that he caused Rex’s death to be with Bree.  He committed suicide in the middle of the season.

In Season Three, we met the psycho Orson Hodge who is played by Kyle Mac Lachlan.  He is a piece of work.  He ends up marrying Bree but this guy has a past darker than a sky at night with no moon.  Josh Henderson was introduced as Edie’s nephew Austin McCann who develops a relationship with Julie but ends up getting Danielle pregnant.

In the Fourth season, we meet Rachel Fox who plays Kayla Huntington who ends up being Tom’s daughter from a one night stand.  We also meet our first gay couple on Wisteria Lane, Kevin Rahm and Tuc Watkins who play Lee McDermott and Bob Hunter.

In Season Five, Neal McDonough plays Edie’s new husband.  Alot of recurring characters appear.  Kathryn Joosten and Pat Crawford Brown play the older residents of Wisteria Lane Karen McCluskey and Ida Grenberg.  One of Susan’s earlier love interest Ian Hainsworth played by Dugray comes back as does Andrew’s boyfriend from the first 2 season Ryan Carnes as Justin.  John Slattery plays Victor Lang who is Gabby’s new hubby.  Bob Gunton plays Noah Taylor who is the deceased dad of Mike’s late fiance and the grandfather of Zach.  And then there is Gail O’Grady as Anne who is having an affair with one of Lynette’s underage boys.

Stay tuned for more gossip!
